Every business is like any good sports team. You have your leader, the man who is highly respected and will do anything for you. Below him are the Co- Captains, who are there for their co-workers and the President. Below them are the workers who are just as important as higher authority. The Toronto Blue Jays are a highly successful team in 
the Major leagues whom I highly admire. Their Captain Jose Bautista treats his teammates and coaches like family. Even the new comers and rookies have a warm presence made by the squad because they know how it feels to be new to a team. Management, coaches and every player have made players such as Russell Wilson and Josh Donaldson feel welcome because to make a star want to play for your establishment, you have to treat them like you have been playing with them for years.

Between head coach John Gibbons and hitting coach Kevin Seitzer, the Blue Jays have had a lot of success. This is because they are led by admirable men who have a passion for the game and listen and respect the feelings of their players. If it were not for these men, we would be playing like the Toronto Maple Leafs who look like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off due to lack of authority! Through great communication and a great eye for the game, the coaches make the 
players want to step up and compete in one of the most difficult divisions to play in the Major Leagues. 


The Blue Jays demonstrate a lot of qualities successful businesses do.For instance, if nobody respected the opinions or their leader, what kind of success would you have? A business competes against other businesses to be number one, and unless everybody has a role and has a purpose, you will not be number one. Some guys would have a negative attitude, where as other guys are overwhelmed with their duties and can't keep up. In my past, I have worked at Frost Chevrolet and it was so unorganized. Nobody, including myself respected my Manager because he was a sneaky, evil man who only thought about money and not his employees. Everybody was gloomy, and although work got done, I did not trust a word he said because he was always lying. That is not the way a business should be run where employees resent talking to authority, rather it should be a fun work environment and the leader should be a role model rather then a snake.

To be a good Business leader, you have to follow the Toronto Blue Jays lead. Respect your players and treat them as an equal, be honest, and value of the opinions of your workers rather then thinking you are better then them. If you follow these approaches, you will be successful, if not, although you might have the great attributes and talent in the world, it will never be utilized like it should be. At the end of the day, who would you want to work for, a sneaky snake in the grass, or somebody who cares about you and treats you like family?
